David Nevins Acupuncture Works™

Acupuncture is among the oldest healing practices in the world. The effects of an acupuncture treatment are the activation of the circulation of blood, nutrients, and oxygen throughout the body restoring the homeostasis (balance) of the body. Pain relief and the promotion of healing tissues occurs as a result of this restored balance. Acupuncture is but one treatment method within Chinese medicine which incorporates dietary and life style counseling, herbal medicine, physical rehabilitation through various Chinese movement protocols (Tai Qi, Qi Gong), and Tui Na or targeted vigorous massage. Testimonial From Ellen Brazer

I have had the honor and pleasure to know David personally and professionally. He is a very caring and loving man with a very big heart. He loves to learn, grow, and expand himself; a true student of life. I experience his energy to be playful, joyful, spontaneous, fun loving, and alive, as well as serious and intellectual; a beautiful balance. He embraces his masculine and his feminine energies, which is something to be cherished in our society. As a professional acupuncturist, he is quite wise. He strives to set the tone for his clients that is giving, generous, and healing. If something baffles him, he is fearless and relentless in getting to the underlying root of its origin to undercover the core issue/s. He is respectful and honoring to each of his clients. He is very patient, compassionate, positive and energetic. He adorns a smile that can light any room!

Testimonial From Kay Hanson

When David first told me about his acupuncture services I was impressed by his caring attitude and sincerity. At the time I had not even the remotest idea of becoming one of his patients. In fact I was rather skeptical as was my husband. David noticed that I was constantly in pain and barely able to function at times. I explained that, among other things, I had several stress fractures due to advanced osteoporosis. After discussing the benefits of acupuncture in relieving pain I asked my physician his opinion of the procedures. I do not tolerate pain medications well so his attitude was "Why not give it a try?".

One of the things about David that most impressed me was that he was very honest about just how helpful he might or might not be. We both knew he could not heal fractures. However, he suggested that I try a few treatments and if there were no signs of improvement we would not continue. He made no promises and did not try to talk me into an extended treatment plan.

The results have been amazing to both of us. At first I had an appointment every week but in a short time this was extended to once a month. I have been able to resume activities that were not possible before. When I first started treatments David would have to help me onto the table. We chuckle now when I manage that chore very easily by myself. If I have a severe episode of back spasms, I follow David's advice about how to cope and see him for a treatment. In the past when this happened I would be incapacitated for a week at least. Also, these episodes are now few and far between. My physician is also pleased with the results to the extent that, if I say I have any sort of pain, he just smiles and says "Go to see David!".

Thanks to David's care and kindnesses my husband and I have become "believers". Not only do I thank him, but also my entire family is grateful for the improvement in my quality of life. He is now also a treasured friend.

Testimonial from Rita King

I went to David Nevins Acupuncture Works because of my problems with my stomach. I was diagnosed with acid reflux and had taken medications for a few years. At one point I decided to stop taking the medications and a friend of mine suggested I should see David. This was 2 years prior, it took me another year before I came in with my friend who was to get her treatment. David sat with me and explained a lot about acupuncture and Oriental medicine, how it works, and why it works. At the same time he showed me the acupuncture needles used and inserted one in a spot on my arm at the outside of the elbow to demonstrate how acupuncture feels.

Since this was a casual meeting I did not tell him at that time all my health concerns one of which was constipation that was intermittent but a real bother. I had left with my friend and went home that afternoon I had 2 bowel movements.

I have been coming to see David since July 2005; he has helped me with my acid reflux, TMJ, knee and hip problems, PMS, and my over all well-being.

I look forward going for my weekly appointments, not only because I know I will leave feeling better, but also because David has a great way of making me feel calm and secure.

After a few months of receiving acupuncture David introduced me to the Mei Zen facial protocol. He explained all that was involved; I was very interested since I was seriously considering consulting a plastic surgeon.

After the first treatment I could see a difference, my friends and even my husband noticed the changes.

As I moved through the 10 treatments more and more changes were evident my face became firmer, my jaw line tightened, I have a glow to my skin and the lines by my nose and around the lips are less noticeable.

A family member who I haven't seen for a couple of months asked me why I did not tell her I had gotten a face lift and where were the scars. I am very happy with the results and I would recommend this procedure to anyone that is considering Plastic Surgery.

Thank you

Testimonial from Tina Goldstein:

My arms were giving me a great deal of pain especially the left arm. I could not reach, grab, or lift anything with out having great pain. So I went to my family doctor's office and there they took many tests and the final result was they could not find anything wrong with me.

By this time was suffering greatly when my brother suggested that I see his Acupuncturist David Nevins, who helped him with his shoulder pain with great success.

So I called and spoke to David about my concerns and fears. He took a great deal of time with me on the phone, I felt that he really cared about my situation and truly wanted to help me. He was very concerned for me.

I went the next week for a series of treatments and with in the first two treatments I was pain free. NO PAIN.

The atmosphere at his office is great, he is very knowledgeable, caring, and he has an excellent bedside manner.

I thank you.
Best wishes,
